Can Frasquet was born in 1697 as a confectioner's and, for generations, it was the sweet stop for half of Palma, a step away from Plaça del Mercat. Today, in the same premises, the tradition continues at the table: a neighbourhood tapas bar right in the centre, with a bar counter, a dining room and life at any time of day.
People come here to eat well, with no fuss. Gildas, Iberian ham, Spanish omelettes, fried specialities, grilled meats and seafood, to nibble standing at the bar or to enjoy sitting down without hurry. And when evening falls, vermouth, wine and well-made cocktails.
Come and eat tapas the way it's done in Mallorca: unhurried, sharing and ordering one more round. We look forward to seeing you.

The Can Frasquet menu brings together everything you feel like ordering on a tapas night: patatas bravas, Padrón peppers, homemade meatballs, Can Frasquet chicken wings, garlic prawns, Galician-style octopus and broken eggs with Iberian ham. Bar bites with Santoña anchovies and Galician cockles, Iberian ham and cheese boards, and five different Spanish potato omelettes.
From the grill come Galician beef ribeye, 100% Black Angus tenderloin and our burger; from the sea, rock mussels, grilled octopus, tuna tartare and tuna tataki. There are garden salads, a vegan corner and, from Monday to Friday, a different dish of the day: cuttlefish in sauce, Mallorcan tumbet, cod, beef-cheek cannelloni or arròs brut.
All with market produce and neighbourhood-bar prices, even though we're right in the centre.
See the MenuYou'll find us at Carrer d'Orfila 4, the street linking Plaça del Mercat with Sant Nicolau, two minutes from Passeig del Born and Plaça Major. Perfect for a stop while you stroll around Palma, for lunch before carrying on shopping, or to start the night with a drink.
We're open every day from 11 am to 11 pm: crystal-bread sandwiches in the morning, tapas and dishes of the day at lunchtime, vermouth in the late afternoon and dinner with cocktails until closing.
If you're coming as a group or want to celebrate something, tell us when you book and we'll have the table ready for you.
